Quite Strong
I do not know much about whiskey. This whiskey smells nice but was a bit strong for my liking. I had to mix it with gingerale.
Perfect everyday sipper
If your palate is refined and you’d like a daily sipper that won’t break the bank, consider Rabbit Hole Cavehill. On the nose, you’ll find a floral, honeyed scent, rich with wood and leather. On the tongue it’s maple, brown sugar, a little citrus, and smooth as can be. It’s so good on its own, you won’t be tempted to mix this one with anything.
Scrumptious!
To the noise and from a Glencarin glass, I was welcomed with a beautiful aroma of baked goods drizzled with nuts and honey surrounded by bouquets of flowers and a side of fresh melon.
On the mouth, creamy brown sugared oranges sprinkled with pepper and mint, and teased with leather and smoke.
The finish was a little thin for me, but my first taste was from a sample, so I will definitely be buying a bottle to share with a brother. A warm finish of sweet citrus and spice.
Excellent first impression and look forward to trying again! 100% would recommend for decadent bourbon lovers!
Excellent
I’m not an expert on whiskey, but I thought this was very good. It was very strong, but smooth. Highly recommend.
Amazing smooth whiskey
This was a real treat! It was smooth to drink and the taste was perfect. Definitely will be purchasing for myself and for gifts.
Rabbit Hole Cavehill Bourbon
If you want an “everyday sipper” this will fit the bill nicely and I’m sure this will become a regular purchase for a lot of people given the crown-pleasing flavor profile and price point. Can share this with pretty much anyone, it’s surprisingly approachable and you’ll be able to impress newcomers and whiskey aficionados alike with a pour of this. I was immediately struck by how fruit-forward this bourbon is, as the apple & orange notes are prominent. The Vanilla and Custard influence makes for a medley of alluring aromas that slightly outperform the palate, but it tastes good too! Led by honey and mint before the fruit and spice develop in the mouth, this is a really well-rounded bourbon for its age.
