Yellow Spot is a unique expression as it contains whisky that has been aged for a full 12 year period in three different oak cask types: American bourbon, Spanish sherry butts, and Spanish Malaga casks. The addition of the Malaga cask is special in that it brings an exotically sweet note to the whisky making it a pleasantly unique.

Tasting Notes

Palate

Honey sweetness with pot still spices. Flavours of fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate & Crème Brûlée. Notes of red apples & toasted oak. Its finish is sophisticated & complex with a sweetness throughout, followed by a mix of red grape & dry barley upon exit.

Nose

Mown hay & cracked black pepper. Red bell peppers, nutmeg, clove oil & green tea. Sweet honey & peaches from the Malaga casks.

An All-Time Great Whiskey

I love the entire Spot range, but Yellow Spot is always one of my favorites.

Such a great whiskey, it’s rich and creamy and the pot still adds a bit of spice. Luxurious from start to finish and great bottle to crack open for a special occasion.
