A luxury expression, J.P. Wiser’s 15 Year Old is a traditional style of Canadian whisky. The majority of the blend is sweet, soft corn with a touch of bold rye added. This creates a nicely balanced blend delivering notes of sweet caramel and toffee, followed by warming rye spice and mature oak with a subtle hint of green apple in the background. Being aged in three types of casks makes for a much more complex whisky. Using first-fill Bourbon casks adds a dried fruit element, used Canadian whisky casks brings out the character of the grain and yeast, and new virgin oak adds notes of rich vanilla and sweet caramel that round out perfectly with the notes of baking spices from the rye grain.
