J.P. Wiser’s Triple Barrel Rye whisky is a unique blend made majority from once-column distilled rye, which adds all the rich notes of baking spices to this expression. Being aged in three types of casks makes for a complex blend – using first fill Bourbon adds a dried fruit element, used Canadian whisky casks brings out the character of the grain and yeast, while the new virgin oak adds notes of rich vanilla, and sweet caramel that round out perfectly with the notes of baking spices that come from the rye grain.

Tasting Notes

Rich amber

Palate

An initial sensation of roasted rye spices followed by sun-dried raisins and freshly sliced green apples. It finishes with a mouth-coating praline and vanilla combination.

Nose

Intense rye bread spices with pleasant tones of glazed honeycomb, green apples, dried fruits, and fine nuts. All complemented with smoked vanilla spices.

Finish

Lingering rye spice that is pleasing and warm.
